Summer Vacay

When you wake up at 2 a.m. with dragon-lady breath strong enough to melt your husband's whiskers clean off his face, you know you're in Asia.  Yes, I'm back.

We had a super fun month in the states packed with family visits, lake vacations, airports, rental cars, sand, shakes, birthday parties, fireworks, bbq's, and sun sun sun baby!

A few things learned on vacation:

*It only takes 300 pictures to get a great shot of a family with 7 children and 12 grandchildren
 Nice one Dot. . . . .

*Chili-Cheese Fritos, where have you been all of Shaun's life???
(I do not share the same sentiment--
they are not good for Shaun's love life
and are grossly reminiscent of ranch corn nuts)

*It's okay to go to Crown Burger (UT) 3 days in a row when you haven't been for 3 years

*No wonder Bear Lake's raspberry shakes are famous, they are cool tangy heaven in a cup

*Our life would be great if cousins Josey and Sam would just move in

*Utah has the best weather and the brightest blue skies. . . ."I want that"

*I also want a vacation home in St. Joseph, Michigan.  Is that so wrong?  Cough it up, Shauny baby.

*There is a reason why huge fireworks are illegal on domestic driveways

*And finally. . . .Real Mexican food is the bomb!
No amount of beans is too much for this girl. . .
(unfortunate for Shaun I know, but sweet revenge for those chili-cheese fritos)

One of these days I'll download a summer album.  Now though, it's time to go brush my teeth.

I am glad to hear that you enjoyed your vacation. I can't believe you drove halfway across the country to bear lake after that int'l flight though. you guys are troopers. I do have to say I love those raspberry shakes. I am drooling thinking about it. Enjoy the rest of your summer! I do have to say I am a little jealous I can't go to Fang's or the spice shop for some grub!

ummm no, I would not subject myself to a torturous drive like that :) We flew silly! Just that 3 hour drive north was enough for me--we were experiencing flashbacks of 3 kids crammed into the backseat, only this time they were all old enough to fight. . . .

Ha Ha, you're back! My stomach muscles need a Lori post every now and again in lieu of exercise :) looks like so much fun, I'm excited to hear the stories I know you've got from the last few weeks.
