High on the Mountain Top

Last Saturday we drove up through Yangminshan, the mountain range in our "backyard."  We stopped at the highest point, giving us a great view of the entire northeast coast and ocean on one side, and Taipei and surrounding cities on the other.

It was FRIO up there and super windy, so it was a quick stop, then back down to a fun stroller-friendly hike that ended in tadpole-laden ponds.  You know Sophie was in heaven as she kneeled in the mud and caught little Kermies, examining them with utter adoration.  She is her father's daughter.  Lucas was content to poke sticks down in the mud and stuff his face with snacks while Sadie sat snug in her stroller with her kitty's ear up her nose.  A good day had by all.

What a beautiful day you had up on top! We kind of miss it. Hope you are surviving with the kids and spaghetti and cheese in the carpet. You're amazing though Lori, I miss you! Hang in there, hopefully life will progress and we won't be constantly cleaning our house we'll be supervising the kids cleaning, ha ha.
