Little witch comes out to play

You all know that Halloween is Sophie's absolute favorite holiday. She talks about Mr. Bones and Casper the Friendly Ghost all year round. Tonight we had our opening ceremony for the Halloween season. After setting the mood with haunted music, candles and scary shadows, we did a ghostly processional through the house to the Halloween box. Sophie joyously reunited with her fuzzy tarantula (which she insists will snuggle her tonight), her glow-in-the-dark bones man, and "Wendy the witch." She is now in her tent with her Halloween flashlight, casting shadows of jack-o-lanterns, witches, and skulls on the walls. Of course Shaun is right there with her. I don't see those two settling down any time soon. Tonight in our family prayer Sophie thanked Heavenly Father for pumpkins, witches, and Halloween and asked him to bless the bones in our bodies. Autumn, our favorite season, is upon us! (Even though it's still in the 90's here.) Let the scary festivities begin!
